Environmental sustainability as a moral duty
Respect for the environment that hosts us, less exploitation of its resources and care for what will become of our children are now also central issues in logistics.
Since the early years of Chrono Express, we have always believed in the possibility of doing our work in a “green” way, combining our passion for logistics with care for the environment. Over time, we have formed partnerships with companies that share our point of view and our values. These collaborations have led to initiatives such as the modernisation of our fleet of vehicles with LNG technology since 2016, in collaboration with FCA and CNH Industrial, which will lead to a drastic reduction in CO2 emissions.
And, for L'Oreal, we carry out transport with latest-generation gas vehicles with up to 95% reduction in emissions and up to 60% reduction in NOx and up to 99% reduction in PM compared to the limits imposed by Euro VI regulations.
Our headquarters in Settimo Torinese (Turin) is already energy self-sufficient, thanks to photovoltaic panels that produce 100 kWh, or 90% of our daily energy needs. In addition, we have chosen low-consumption LED lamps for the interior lighting of our 40,000 square metre warehouses, with sensors to turn them on when an operator is present.
We are confident that more and more companies will join us in the search for a clean way of working that does not harm the environment that hosts us.
